Swedish Massage
A classic European technique of gentle
manipulation of the muscles. This popular
technique uses oils and creams with long strokes
and kneading to improve circulation, relieve
muscle tension, and create a heightened sense of
well being and relaxation.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage is a specialty massage that
uses smooth, heated stones. I use a special
basalt, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and
retains heat well. It is a deeply soothing, relaxing
form of massage. The heat of the stones melts the
tension in the muscles away, paving the way for
deeper, more effective bodywork.
Sports Therapy Massage
Sports Massage is a typically used on
highly active people who engage in
athletics. Sports Massage enhances
performance and prolongs a sports career
by helping to prevent injury, reduce pains
and swelling in the body, relax the mind,
increase flexibility, and dramatically
improve recovery rates. Sports Massage
is also highly effective in aiding the rapid
recovery, even of people who are not
particularly athletic, from injury by
encouraging greater kinesthetic
awareness and in turn promoting the
body's natural immune function.
Reflexology
Reflexology involves massage of reflex areas
found in the feet and hands. Reflex points on
the feet and hands are stimulated to enhance
the function of the parts of the body to which
the reflex points correspond.
On-Site Seated Massage
Chair massage has been proven to increase efficiency
in the workplace by improving circulation, relieving
stress and decreasing muscle tension throughout the
body. It also improves morale among employees, and
decreases absenteeism.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that
aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue
in the body. I use various techniques with my hands,
knuckles, and elbows and apply focused pressure on
“problem areas” or “trigger points” in the body. Deep
Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for
releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment,
repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to
the nature of the deep tissue work, open
communication during the session is crucial to make
sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind
that soreness is pretty common after the treatment,
and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid
with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have
been released from the deep tissue during the
session.

Cupping
Cupping refers to an ancient Chinese practice
in which a cup is applied to the skin and the
pressure in the cup is reduced (by using
change in heat or by suctioning out air), so
that the skin and superficial muscle layer is
drawn into and held in the cup. In some
cases, the cup may be moved while the
suction of skin is active, causing a regional
pulling of the skin and muscle (the technique
is called gliding or running cupping).
Pregnancy Massage
Massage during pregnancy provides tranquil relaxation and
reduces stress. Relief from muscle cramps, spasms, and
myofascial pain, especially in the lower back, neck, hips, and
legs is very important during pregnancy. Massage increases
blood and lymph circulation, which can reduce swelling.
It can improve the outcome of labor and ease labor pain. It
enhances the pliability of skin and underlying tissues.
New moms especially appreciate the support of massage with
physical and emotional strains of mothering.
Infant Massage
Infant massage relaxes babies and helps to decrease
stress for you and your baby. It also relieves discomfort
from constipation, gas, and colic, making your baby
happier.
Babies who receive massage (and their parents) will sleep
better. Massage also stimulates brain development and
improves sensory awareness. Parents who massage their
babies have and easier time bonding with their baby. Most
people enjoy human touch. A touch can convey comfort,
love, awareness and many other sensations. It can also
help alleviate aches and pains.

Cranio-sacral
A craniosacral therapy session involves the therapist placing their hands on
the patient, which allows them to tune into what they call the craniosacral
system. The practitioner gently works with the spine and the skull and its
cranial sutures, diaphragms, and fascia. In this way, the restrictions of
nerve passages are said to be eased, the movement of cerebrospinal fluid
through the spinal cord is said to be optimized. Craniosacral therapists use
the therapy to treat mental stress, neck and back pain, migraines, TMJ
Syndrome, and chronic pain conditions.
